The internet is one of the primary forces that has opened new pathways in recent years. The open data movement in particular has generated a great deal of discussion - especially in the area of open aid data - i.e. the disclosure of development-related information. The media has an important role to play here - as a "filter" or precisely not as a "filter", as the case may be - the potential is huge.
