Peace is a state of harmony and characterized by a lack of violence or conflict. Peace is understood as the absence of hostility, but in a wider sense, it is much more: it also suggests the existence of healthy interpersonal or international relationships, social and economic prosperity, equality, and a functioning political order that serves the true interests of all.
